This story first broke on Saturday the 14th, and was reported on the Stanford Center for Law and the Biosciences Blog by Emily Murphy of Stanford University: http://lawandbiosciences.wordpress.com/2009/03/14/no-lie-mri-being-offered-as-evidence-in-court/>Although the court has not yet determined whether the “evidence” is admissible, it will be interesting to see whether the defense can get a reputable neuroscientist to interpret the brain activation in response to three questions that were posed to the defendant. Scary stuff.
